The Craftshop Guide

It’s time to start building the Craftshop, a new constructible building that will serve as the base for a whole new level of crafting in FarmVille in the near future. Plus we have some new quests to help you and your friends build it!

You’ll get the Craftshop frame for free the first time you play FarmVille after the update, and you will immediately be entered into Placement Mode. You can place the Craftshop on your farm now, or you can choose to place it in your Gift Box for use later (by switching to the Multi-Tool for instance). If you put it into your Gift Box, you’ll be able to place it on either your Home Farm or English Countryside farm.
Advertisement: English Items 6: $12.49: Tower Bridge, English Hotel, English Goat, Hackney Horse, Bird Cherry Tree, Wild Cherry Tree, Detective Gnome

If you lose your sell your Craftshop, you can purchase it again in the Market. It is listed under Buildings, though there are two versions available: the Craftshop frame (for coins) and the fully-built Craftshop (for 30 Farm Cash). If you see that it is “Locked” you either have one in your Gift Box or it’s on your farm someplace. You can have just one Craftshop per farm.
Once the Craftshop frame is on the farm you can click on it, then select “Look Inside” to see this window:

The Craftshop is a constructible building that requires certain building parts to complete it. However, it does not require the normal types of building parts, but instead three new types: Spools of Twine, Concrete bags, and Hammers.

You can acquire these parts by:
  • Asking your neighbors for these parts by posting a help request to your feed (click on the “Ask For Part” button for each type of part).
  • Give parts to your neighbors via the Free Gifts page or the “Send Gifts” button.
  • Acquire parts by spending Farm Cash. Click on the “Buy” button for that particular part to purchase all of the particular part that you need (the cost is X Farm Cash, where X is the number of parts left that you need), or buy those parts individually in the Market (you can find them in Farm Aides -> Other).
  • Acquire all needed parts for the building by spending Farm Cash (click on the “Complete Now” button to purchase parts for the rest of the building). The cost is X Farm Cash, where X is the total number of parts left needed to finish the building.
  • Using individual parts already available in your Gift Box.
  • As rewards from certain quests (see below).
This is what the Craftshop looks like once fully constructed:

You’ll also see this window pop up when you complete it:

Right now you can’t do anything with it, but just wait, you will soon!

How to Level Up Quickly in Farmville

How to Level Up Quickly in Farmville

1 Save as much land on your farm as possible to plant new crops. Avoid buying any buildings or objects that will get in the way of plowing new fields.

2 Plow as many fields as you can. You will earn 1 XP (or experience points) for every field you plow. You need these XPs to advance and level up in the game.

3 Plant raspberries. You can harvest them in Farmville every 2 hours allowing you to plow and harvest several times in one day if you can. Each time you plant seeds in 1 field, you will gain 1 XP (or experience) point for raspberries and other crops that take less than 1 day to harvest. Remember though, you can harvest them several times per day which will earn you more XPs than if you were to plant crops that harvest in 1 day.

4 Add Farmville neighbors. The more Farmville neighbors you have, the more opportunities you will have to earn XPs. Each time you work at a neighbor's farm, you will earn 5 XPs and 20 coins. You can work at each person's farm once per day.

5 Expand your farm. When you have enough coins to do so, expand your farm so that you are able to plant even more crops at a time, earning you more XPs to advance in the game.

FarmVille Freak MaddMadamMim's New "Craftshops Are Coming Soon!" Loading Screen
In the newest loading screen, we see a message that says “Craftshops are coming soon!” It seems as though we are to put in perfectly normal/ordinary things from around the farm into these “Craftshops” to get new/exciting and seemingly rare items for our farms.
Some of the items we see “coming out” of the Craftshop include Love Potions, Bottles and what looks like the Limited Edition Dreadful Fence!

FarmVille Freak Guide: FarmVille New Collections!

FarmVille New Collections Notice
The new FarmVille Collections system has arrived! After logging into FarmVille after the update you should be greeted with the pop-up shown above.
There are all new Collections as well as rewards for each set. You will automatically be rewarded with Farm Coins and XP to compensate you for your existing progress on the old Collections. Any old extra collectibles that you had in your Gift Box that were not added to your Collection cannot be used and you will need to delete them as they are useless.
The new Collections work similar to previous Collections in that you will automatically find collectibles while doing everyday farming tasks such as harvesting your crops, trees, and animals. However, when you find a collectible you will not have to add them to your Collection set or “use” them. It will not be stored in your Gift Box. It will simply go straight to your Collection set.
The new FarmVille Collections include:
  • FarmVille Berries Collection
  • FarmVille Citrus Collection
  • FarmVille Cows Collection
  • FarmVille Flowers Collection
  • FarmVille Grains Collection
  • FarmVille Squash Collection
FarmVille New Collections
Each Collection set is comprised of Common, Uncommon, and Rare collectibles. You will need a certain number of each collectible to complete each Collection each time.
FarmVille Collection Requirements
Level 1 Collection Requirements:
  • Common (x 3) – 3 collectibles each of same type
  • Uncommon – 2 collectibles of same type
  • Rare – 1 collectible
Level 2 Collection Requirements:
  • Common (x 3) – 6 collectibles each of same type
  • Uncommon – 4 collectibles of same type
  • Rare – 2 collectibles of same type
Level 3 Collection Requirements:
  • Common (x 3) – 9 collectibles each of same type
  • Uncommon- 6 collectibles of same type
  • Rare – 3 collectibles of same type
Level 4 Collection Requirements:
  • Common (x 3)- 12 collectibles each of same type
  • Uncommon – 8 collectibles of same type
  • Rare – 4 collectibles of same type
Once you find the required amount of collectibles for a Collection, you will see a green “Trade In” button. Clicking the button will turn in your collectibles and allow you to receive the reward. Note, you can bypass finding collectibles by purchasing them directly or by purchasing entire Collection sets with Farm Cash.
Some collectibles may have a green paper icon that allows you to “Ask” your neighbors to send you this item. You can only use the “Ask” button once per day.
FarmVille Collection Prizes
After completing a Collection set, you can turn it in for rewards of Farm Coins and XP and special exclusive prizes. You will also be given the option to share a rare or uncommon collectible with your neighbors by posting a Facebook News Feed share. Your collection set can also be leveled to receive better prizes. For a spoiler prize reveal of all the Level 1, 2, and 3 trade-in prizes for the new Collections sets be sure to check out our FarmVille Frea!
FarmVille Freak Article: FarmVille New Collection Trade In Prizes
Notice that every time you complete a Collection, it levels up. Each time you level up a collection, you will need a higher number of collectibles to complet the next collection. The higher the level, the better the prizes. However, thespecial prizes repeat after Level 3, but with an increasing increment in Farm Coins and XP.
How to Find Collectibles for Collections:
Completing simple tasks on your farm and your neighbors will earn you collectibles for your Collection. However, now only harvesting actions (besides being gifted collectibles) will allow you to find collectibles. Harvesting actions vary and are related to that specific collection. For example, you’ll find collectibles for Berries Collection while harvest berry crops.
  • Berries Collection – Harvest Berry Crops
  • Citrus Collection – Harvest Citrus Trees
  • Cows Collection – Harvest Cows
  • Flowers Collection – Harvest Flower Crops
  • Grains Collection – Harvest Grain Crops
  • Squash Collection – Harvest Squash Crops
Collectibles can be found with both the English Countryside and Greenhouse crops for some Collections. Using consumables for any type of harvesting action will still allow you to find a collectible versus click-farming, vehicle or building with purpose use.  For example, if you use an Arborist to harvest your trees, you can still find collectibles.
Other Changes to Collections include:
  • Collections are available to Level 10 and above farmers.
  • FarmVille Special Delivery Boxes and Mystery Eggs will no longer provide collectibles.
  • Only harvesting actions and acquisitions from neighbors reward you with collectibles.
What do you think of the new FarmVille Collection System?
